About JICA Organization
Founded in late 2019, Juba Institute for Climate Adaptation (Jica) is a non-profit, and research-driven organization that aims to accelerate Somalia’s progress in climate adaptation for a resilient transition. Juba Institute aspires to achieve its overarching mission through cutting-edge research, and high-quality analysis. Headquartered in Mogadishu, Juba Institute has subnational offices across the key cities of the Federal Member States (FMS).

Juba Institute conducts empirical research, in-depth analysis, informing policy briefings, and inclusive dialogue to explore locally-tailored policy interventions.
Environment Policy
To help nurture healthy natural ecosystems in Somalia, Juba Institute undertakes evidence-based research, policy analysis, and dialogues to help policymakers, develop.
Food and Nutrition Security
Juba Institute carries out a wide array of research projects, to help transform aggravating food and nutrition security among Somalia’s most vulnerable communities in rural setting and places where access remains difficult.
Youth & Gender
To help young people rise to the persistent challenges of unemployment, limited access to opportunities, and inequality, Juba Institute facilitates honest policy dialogues and carries out rigorous research into climate.
